WWE Backlash 2018: Live Results And Match Updates

Another WWE event is here, just nine days after Greatest Royal Rumble. Today, Sunday, May 9, on the WWE Network is Backlash, and what's big about this PPV is that it is dual-branded, meaning it will feature both Raw and Smackdown superstars. There are eight matches on the card for Backlash, one of which will take place on the Kickoff Show.

Backlash comes to the WWE Network today at 8 PM ET / 5 PM PT with the Kickoff Show starting one hour earlier. The PPV will take place at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. If you don't have the WWE Network, you can sign up for one month free, and if it isn't up your alley, you can cancel as there is no commitment to the network.

There are two main event-quality matches closing out the evening. The first is AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura in a "No Disqualification" match for the WWE Championship. Also, there is Smackdown's Samoa Joe taking on Raw's Roman Reigns. GameSpot spoke to Joe recently, and he said, "After [the match] is done, I will have ended him, and hopefully, when I end people, it won't be like how he ended The Undertaker.
