The Crew 2 Release Date, Special Edition Announced

Ubisoft has announced a new release date for The Crew 2. The open-world racing game was originally slated to launch this month before it was delayed along with Far Cry 5 and one other unrevealed title. The game will now arrive for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on June 29.

In addition to the release date, Ubisoft announced a special edition of The Crew 2, dubbed the Motor Edition. This version is available exclusively from the publisher's online store and includes a few bonus items along with a copy of the game, such as its season pass, a Motorsports Deluxe Pack that contains several outfits and vehicles, a Crew-themed license plate, steelbook case, roadmap, and four stickers.

Players who pick up the Motor Edition will also receive access to the game three days early, on June 26. You can purchase the Motor Edition for your platform of choice here. Pre-ordering any edition of the title will also get players the bonus Legendary Motors Pack, which includes several exclusive vehicles like the Mercedes-AMG C 63 Touring Car 2016 and the Harley-Davidson Iron 883 2017.

If you can't wait until June to go hands-on with the game, Ubisoft has opened registration for The Crew 2 beta. You can also start building up your car collection for the title by taking part in The Crew Rewards Program, which allows players to unlock vehicles for the upcoming game by completing monthly challenges in the first The Crew. You can learn more about the Rewards Program on Ubisoft's website.

Like its predecessor, The Crew 2 is a racing game that lets players drive around an open-world US that has been "completely reshaped for motorsports." The game features a variety of land-, water-, and air-based vehicles that players can switch between on the fly through the "Fast Fav" feature. We got to play The Crew 2 at E3 2017 and found it to be much stranger than we expected.
