Star Wars: See Carrie Fisher Slap Oscar Isaac 40 Times In Last Jedi Gag Reel
Star Wars: The Last Jedi is now available on Blu-ray and DVD, and included on the disc are the expected bonus features, one of which is a gag reel. ET has posted a clip from this, and one of the segments shows Carrie Fisher slapping Oscar Isaac more than 40 times. This is when Leia was scolding Poe for being too brash and not following orders. You can see all 40-plus slaps in the video below, along with some silly moments with Mark Hamil, John Boyega, and Kelly Marie Tran.
In May last year, Isaac told Stephen Colbert about all the slapping, which apparently took place on the first day of filming. Isaac also shared that Fisher's slaps landed on a different part of his face each time, which might explain why they needed so many takes to get it right.
"She was by far one of the quickest-witted, funniest most down-to-earth real human beings I've ever had the opportunity of working with," Isaac said.
