Shadow Of The Tomb Raider Confirmed For PS4, Xbox One, PC; Release Date Revealed

After a number of rumors and leaks, Square Enix has finally confirmed that the next Lara Croft game will be Shadow of the Tomb Raider. The company also announced the game's release date as September 14. The game will come to PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Square Enix says the game will be "Lara Croft's defining moment as she becomes the Tomb Raider," but few other details are known about the project as yet. A full reveal has been dated for April 27, though a teaser trailer has already been released. Take a look at that below.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider had long been rumored. At Gamescom 2015, Square Enix boss Phil Rogers let slip that a third title in the series could be in the pipeline. Following that, the title "Shadow of the Tomb Raider" was spotted in a PowerPoint presentation. Square Enix then confirmed a third game in December last year but didn't say anything else at the time. Finally, this reveal and release date were leaked through the official Tomb Raider website's source code just recently.
