A Way Out Could Be The Next Great Co-op Game

Although he was an established filmmaker in Sweden, you may not have heard of Josef Fares until he made Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. The 2013 game has become known for its innovative use of single-player gameplay, as you control two brothers seeking a cure for their father's illness, and cemented Fares as a viable director in the video game sworld.

With his upcoming game A Way Out, however, Fares hopes to innovate on the couch co-op formula. We recently sat down with him to play his next game, chat about his relationship with publisher EA, ask him about his thoughts on loot crates, and what was going through his head on The Game Awards stage.
