What Trailers Can You Expect At This Year's Super Bowl?

It's that time of the year again, when the NFL hosts its final football game of the season--the Super Bowl--and the vast majority of non-NFL fans get together to watch brand new commercials and movie trailers. This year's event should have quite a few big trailers during the big game, as studios are willing to pay $5 million for a 30-second commercial break slot.

Get ready to see some early looks at this year's biggest summer blockbusters. Here's what we could possibly be seeing during this year's event, as you patiently await for a time out on the field.

Mission Impossible: Fallout

Mission Impossible: Fallout is the sixth movie in the franchise--which is one of the few successful movies based on a TV series. As promised, Tom Cruise will be pulling off some ridiculous stunts once again, and with the poster for the movie recently released, it's more than likely one of the two 30-second spots Paramount booked for the Super Bowl will go to Fallout.

Avengers: Infinity War

The first Avengers: Infinity War trailer from November got everyone talking about Captain America's beard. While the Super Bowl is appearing on NBC and Marvel is under the Disney banner, Deadline learned that Disney has a 30-second and 45-second slot during the event. Disney has four big movies coming out (Black Panther, Infinity War, A Wrinkle In Time, and Pixar's Incredibles 2), and Infinity War will more than likely be the biggest one, so expect to see the Avengers take on Thanos during the Super Bowl.

Black Panther

Early takes on Black Panther are looking good after the premiere. Sure, there have been a lot of TV spots for for the movie, which hits theaters on Friday, February 16. It's not a sure thing Disney will use one of their two commercial spots for Black Panther, but with a release two weeks after the game, we will more than likely get a final trailer.

Cloverfield: God Particle

The third movie in the Cloverfield universe--rumored to be titled God Particle--was originally set to release February 2017, and now, it's coming out this April. There hasn't been any trailer or images for the film, so the Super Bowl could be the first glimpse we catch of the upcoming film, which is also rumored to be headed straight to Netflix. We better see something soon, as the fourth film in the series has finished filming and rumored to be hitting theaters this October.

Castle Rock

Hulu's new series Castle Rock connects the work of Stephen King in one, singular universe. An ad for the new upcoming show will air during the Super Bowl, or you can watch it here, as Hulu released it early. Fans of King's work will notice a ton of references to his previous work and some cameos from actors in his recent films.

The Incredibles 2

In November, a teaser for the upcoming Incredibles sequel was released by Pixar. Fans have been waiting a long time for this movie, and there are only a few more months before its release in June. Disney tends to have a spot for family-orientated material. Seeing as this is one of two family-films Disney has planned this year, the trailer for Incredibles 2 has a good chance of appearing during the game.

A Wrinkle In Time

Based on the Madeleine L'Engle novel, Disney's upcoming family film A Wrinkle In Time, will hit theaters in March. There was an official, full-length trailer back in November, but there's been nothing new since then. Considering it's a month away from release, there is a good chance a trailer for A Wrinkle In Time will appear early on during the Super Bowl.

A Quiet Place

Paramount's upcoming horror film, A Quiet Place, could find itself airing during the Super Bowl or the pre-game, as the studio has two slots during the show, according to Deadline. Emily Blunt (Edge of Tomorrow) and John Krasinski (The Office) star as parents who live in a cabin and have to be completely silent, as a monster is hunting them, and said monster has incredible hearing. On paper, the movie sounds a little silly, but the first trailer for A Quiet Place is intense. Considering the movie is coming out in April, we should be seeing a brand-new trailer.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

A new trailer for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is expected to air during the game, as the studio behind the movie is the under the NBC/Universal banner. The movie is set to release in June, and we saw the first trailer for the film back in December, which had more of Chris Pratt's character trying to relate to velociraptors.
