Here's The Opening Of Realistic Medieval RPG Kingdom Come

Fantasy games are not in short supply by any means, and it seems almost unavoidable that a game set in a medieval-style setting will be accompanied by magic or other unrealistic elements. Kingdom Come: Deliverance aspires to be the answer to those seeking something a little different, providing a more realistic twist on the medieval RPG.

Released just this week, Kingdom Come is the debut game from developer Warhorse Studios. It's an ambitious single-player RPG that's set in Bohemia during the 15th century. As is to be expected from an open-world game like this, it does have its share of quirks and issues, though it does present an alluring concept with some intriguing mechanics.

In the video above, we play through the opening portion of the game on PC, letting you see how the tutorial unfolds, the tone of the story, and the way your character literally picks items up and places them in his pocket. You'll also get a taste for combat, which strives to go beyond what you get in something like an Elder Scrolls game, tasking you with accounting for the angle of your swings.

Although it's primarily gotten attention in the PC space, Kingdom Come is also available on both PS4 and Xbox One. We'll have a review for the game coming soon, so stay tuned to GameSpot for more on what to expect from the full experience.
