PUBG Dev Apologizes For BP Problem, Will Compensate Players

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds recently received its second big update since leaving Early Access on PC last month. Following the new patch, developer PUBG Corp. has announced it is now addressing an issue with BP distribution, which cropped up in the wake of the game's 1.0 release.

In a post on the Steam forums, PUBG Corp. apologized for problems that affected how the in-game currency was given out and announced it will be compensating players for the issue. "We would first like to offer our most sincere apologies to our users who could not fully enjoy the game because BP was not given out properly, an issue which had occurred after the PC 1.0 launch, up until the Dec 27th (Wed) scheduled maintenance," PUBG Corp. wrote.

"We are compensating you for this loss. BP is given out to users all around the world, so it might not be received right away after clicking on the pop-up informing you about your BP compensation. Please be patient, you will get your compensation."

PUBG Corp. says players will have until 3:59 PM PT / 6:59 PM ET on February 9 to claim their BP. Additionally, the developer confirmed that the Early Bird key for Desperado and Gamescom loot crates is back on sale following the game's most recent maintenance period.

Desperado items were among the new content added as part of PUBG's second update. Additionally, PUBG Corp. implemented a new replay report tool in an effort to stamp down on cheaters. With the tool, players will be able to report anyone they suspect of cheating from the replay feature.

PUBG is also available in early access on Xbox One. Despite not running as well on the console, the game recently surpassed 3 million players. The Xbox One version also received a new update recently that fixed bugs and made other performance improvements. You can watch how PUBG now runs on Xbox One X in the video above.
